The American Museum of Natural History in New York City features 13-foot sculptures of Daniel Boone, John James Audubon, William Clark, and Meriwether Lewis over the Central Park West entrance. These monumental sculptures by James Earle Fraser were added to the facade in 1930, permanently recognizing the explorers’ contributions to natural science.
