Lewis & Clark: October 27, 1803

Lewis arrived at the Falls of the Ohio and met William Clark at Clarksville, Indiana Territory, across the river from Louisville. This was the moment the partnership that would lead the Corps of Discovery truly began. Clark brought several Kentucky recruits including the “Nine Young Men from Kentucky” who would form the core of the expedition.
